DETECTIVES are hunting a robber who walked into a betting shop waving what appeared to be a gun. He demanded cash, which was handed over, and then escaped.

The incident happened at a betting shop in Brookfield Court, Ashford, on Thursday, November 24, at about 4.55pm.

The robber is described as white, late teens or early 20s, about 5ft 5in tall and of slim build. He was wearing a balaclava that had two eyeholes, and a light coloured hoody with the hood up. He spoke with a local accent.
