Courtenay Rangers reach semi-final of Herne Bay & Whitstable Sunday League Challenge Cup

Courtenay Rangers reached the last four of the Challenge Cup, defeating Broomfield 4-2, with strikes from Gary Lee-Alliston (2), Jimmy Newbury and Jason Mills. Billy Bowman scored Broomfield’s goals

Sean Stirrups, Tom Lilley and John Salter were on target for AFC Royals, who made it into the final of the Henry Delo Cup by seeing off New Inn Rangers 3-2.

Field reached the Senior Section final of the Whitstable Charity Cup after defeating Waterfront 3-1 with Rob Beazleigh, Lee Pankhurst and Adam Oxberry on target.

In the Junior Section, Kevin Edwards was the star man for Wingham in his side’s 4-0 semi-final win over AFC Canterbury. He bagged two goals, with John Pilcher and Ross Griggs scoring the others.

Wingham will face Courtney Reserves in the final after their 4-2 win against Chimney Boy courtesy of goals from Louis Taylor (2), Sam Reid and James Easter.
