Student's nose broken in street attack

A 20-year-old student had his nose broken and cheek possibly fractured during an assault in the street.

The incident occurred near the junction of North Holmes Road and Littlebourne Road in Canterbury late on Friday night.

The victim was walking with another man and two women from the Longport roundabout and when they reached an area close to the city's prison they were approached by two men asking for cigarettes.

When they said they did not have any, the student was confronted by one of the men who punched him in the face several times.

The culprit who punched him is described as aged about 19, 6ft tall, slim build with short blond hair. He may have had an earring.

He was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt with a pin stripe pattern and dark trousers.

The other man is about 5ft 10ins tall with brown hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt and dark jeans.

One woman with the men is described as about 5ft 5ins tall with light, brown hair in a pony tail. She was wearing a pink top and blue jeans.
