Whitstable boss Peter Nott is ready to move into the transfer market after admitting his side have ‘lost their way.’

After back-to-back wins in Ryman League Division 1 South, Town have now lost three straight and Nott is looking to the transfer market to boost his squad, which remains ravaged by injury.

Town look to bounce back from Saturday’s FA Cup exit against Worthing when they host Eastbourne on Saturday before a daunting trip to unbeaten leaders Dulwich on Tuesday night.

Nott (pictured) said: "We had a good start but I have never known collectively so many players hitting poor form all at the same time.

"I think part of it is confidence, and we are struggling to keep hold of the ball. We have also stopped getting in people’s faces, we are a lot easier to play against than we were in the first couple of games.

"It is very frustrating because we started so well but we have lost our way somewhat."

Goalkeeper Paul Hyde replaced injured Giga Zulmatashvili at half-time against Worthing, and at 48 years and five months old makes him the oldest player in this year’s competition, and just 15 months off the all-time record set in 1924.

Nott admitted he was on the look out for a keeper and had two seven-day approaches in for players, with a wide-man also believed to be on his radar.
