Heybridge v Dartford

Dartford boss Tony Burman is ready to give striker Brendan Cass the chance of regaining a regular first-team spot following top scorer Cody McDonald’s transfer deadline-day move to Norwich.

The former Tonbridge and Chatham marksman has an impressive scoring record himself with 80 goals in 141 games and replaced McDonald when he limped off against Maidstone last weekend.

Burman said: “Brendan has been superb for the club over the last three years and hasn’t had as many chances as I would have liked to give him, but he has always acted in a professional manner. I want three strikers and we have a few names we would like to bring in.”
