Man suffers slash wounds aboard ferry

KENT Police are investigating an incident on board a P&O Ferry in which a man was found on an outside deck with slash wounds near his throat.

The man was on board the Pride of Calais vessel which arrived at the port of Dover at around 7pm last night.

The man has not yet been identified but is thought to be in his 50s. He was taken by ambulance to the Kent and Canterbury Hospital where he is in a critical but stable condition.
