The movie follows Erin Collantes, a British teacher living a quiet life in Spain until she is caught up in a supermarket robbery.

The robbers seem to recognise her, and her family realise there might be more to Erin than meets the eye.

Various scenes for the series were filmed in Folkestone, including on the Harbour Arm, The Stade and Court Approach Road.

Snapshots of the Harbour Arm scenes can be seen in the movie’s trailer, which shows Erin getting on a boat with her daughter.

Written by Jack Lothian, who has also written Doc Martin episodes, the film stars Evin Ahmad, Sean Teale, Douglas Henshall, Susannah Fielding and Indica Watson.

The Left Bank Pictures production can be watched on Netflix from today, August 24.

This is not the first time the coastal location has been featured on our TV screens.

Other productions including Piston, The Flight and Seagull have also been filmed in Folkestone.

Filming was also seen happening in the town for a new Paramount series called The Serial Killer’s Wife.

Crews descended on Church Road and then later moved to shoot scenes in Hythe and Saltwood.

Residents in the towns say they received a letter about the filming locations for the upcoming fortnight, with scenes being captured in The Green and Rectory Way.
