Burton will test Fleet's impressive form

DAISH: "It's a chance to close the gap on them"

Ebbsfleet United v Burton Albion

EBBSFLEET aim to return to Blue Square Premier action on Saturday with a crunch game against Burton at Stonebridge Road.

The Fleet are closing on the play-off places after an impressive run of form but their momentum was halted last weekend when the trip to Histon was postponed.

Ebbsfleet have won their last three league matches - including successive 4-1 home wins over Grays and Weymouth.

Manager Liam Daish is keen to keep that run going against a side who currently occupy a play-off position.

He said: "It's a chance to close the gap on them but it will be tough. We went to their place earlier in the season and should have had three points.

"They'll be mindful of how we played and I'm sure they will treat us as an equal."

Peter Hawkins (groin) is the only injury doubt with Daish expected to name an unchanged side.
