A man serving a jail sentence for two cash machine burglaries in Kent is on the run.

Police are appealing for information on Adrian John Gowers, who failed to return to prison in November after being granted temporary release to an address in Rainham.

In 2007 he was sentenced to seven years at Canterbury Crown Court.

The 45-year-old has connections to Medway, Maidstone and Swale.

Det Con Simon Mather of Kent Police's Force Intelligence Bureau, said: "Gowers is unlawfully at large having served only two years of his prison sentence.

"We would like to hear from anyone that may know his whereabouts or have seen him recently.

"He is not known to use any aliases and we believe he previously worked as a builder."

If anyone has any information, contact DC Simon Mather on 01622 654654 or Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
