Three charged over violent assault

Three men arrested and charged by police following a serious assault in Gravesend, have had their case sent to the crown court.

Bradley Wood, 20, Jake Whittington, 18 and Aaron Moon, 22, all appeared at Dartford Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

Wood, of York Road, Gravesend is charged with one count of violent disorder; Whittington, also of York Road, Gravesend is charged with violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon and Moon, of Valley Drive, is charged with one count of causing grievous bodily harm, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon.

The charges relate to an incident in Princes Road, Gravesend on Sunday, January 11, in which a 20-year-old man suffered a serious eye injury.

Wood, Whittington and Moon were all remanded on conditional bail to appear at a preliminary hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, June 1.
