Trio in bid to steal computer from hospital

THREE thieves have been thwarted in their attempt to steal a computer from a private hospital.

The incident happened in the early hours of Thursday at the Alexandra Hospital in Impton Lane, Walderslade, near Chatham.

The three offenders were seen leaving the hospital with the computer but when challenged they dropped it and ran away.

Police say one of the offenders is around 6ft tall and slim. He was wearing a white hooded top and had a white scarf over his face. There is no description of the other two offenders.

Maidstone and Malling Police spokeswoman Gianna Pollero said: "The incident happened shortly after midnight. It appears they smashed the glass in a rear door at the hospital to gain entry."
