Ryman League Division 1 round-up

TONBRIDGE Angels took the honours and top spot in Ryman League Division 1 with a 3-1 win in the Kent derby against Ashford Town at Longmead on Saturday.

Ashford, who are rooted to the bottom of the table and yet to score a point, took a surprise lead through Steve Humphrey on 14 minutes.

But Ray Powell restored parity in the 42nd minute to send the sides in level at the break.

Luke Piscina put the home side ahead midway through the second half and Warren Haughton put the result beyond doubt with a third goal nine minutes from time.

Ramsgate racked up their fourth win of the campagin with a 2-0 win at Molesey.

Goals from Stephan Ball and Stuart Vahid did the damage.

Cray Wanderers, who led the table on Saturday morning after winning all of their matches, suffered a surprise 4-0 defeat at Hastings United.
