Second World War bomb found in garden

POLICE sealed off part of Maidstone today after contractors unearthed a Second World War bomb.

The device was discovered at about 11.30am by contractors digging up trees in the garden of a house in Heathfield Road at Penenden Heath, but by 2pm it had been removed by an Army bomb disposal team.

The unit later confirmed it was no longer in a condition to pose any danger.
