Lordswood keeper Efren Cruz looks on as Hythe batsman Leon Morgan defends

Peter Stock's first league century for three years was not enough to guide Lordswood to victory in Shepherd Neame Kent League Division 1 on Saturday.

Stock hit 117 as Lordswood reached 227-8 in reply to Hythe’s impressive 50-over total of 269-6.

The visitors were indebted to a century from Leon Morgan, who made 106.

Lordswood’s lead at the top of the table is 43 points with four games remaining.

Upchurch stayed top of Division 3 following their eight-wicket win at Wickham Park (98 all out). They were always favourites to see off Wickham, who only had nine players in their team.

Callum Mitchell starred with bat and ball as Rainham beat Gravesend RF by four runs in Division 4.

Mitchell was the only Rainham batsman to score more than 15 as they were dismissed for 137 in the 49th over.

But his 44 proved vital, along with contributions in the tail from Chris Small (14) and Paul Newton (15 not out).

Mitchell then took 6-17 from 13 overs as Rainham scraped home.
