A new pop group preparing to go on tour with Westlife and Boyzone have performed their debut single to school children.

Five-piece girl group Wonderland, who are managed by Louis Walsh and Westlife’s Kian Egan, visited youngsters at the Isle of Sheppey Academy’s east site in Minster on Friday.

As well as giving the pupils a sneak peak at their up-coming single, Not a Love Song, they sang other tracks.

The girls are ambassadors for PC game The Sims 3 and they gave out Sims goody bags to the children.

Four budding singers also went up on stage to sing with the girls.

Head of music at the school, Helen Amos, said: “Students were up on their feet dancing and the most enthusiastic were invited by the girls to join them on the stage. They had a meet-and-greet with the girls at the end and were able to ask them how they got into the business.

“The children showed Wonderland their appreciation with cheers and rapturous applause.”
