A garden in winter

Winter tours starting at Sissinghurst Castle
Winter tours starting at Sissinghurst Castle

The Sissinghurst Castle estate, near Cranbrook, closes its gardens to the public from November to early March, but the new tours will offer a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on during the winter.

See what the garden looks like from the top of the tower, find out about future plans and learn some of the history of the wider Wealden landscape.

And after your tour, why not enjoy a tasty lunch in the Granary restaurant, serving up produce fresh from the Sissinghurst Castle vegetable garden. The tours will be running daily from Monday, December 2 at various intervals from 11am to 3pm, until Monday, December 23.

They will then restart on Boxing Day and run until New Year’s Eve.

Tickets are £5.95.
