Pub Landlord Al Murray brings his Gig for Victory stand-up show to Folkestone, Dartford and Chatham

Pull up a bar stool as the Pub Landlord is inviting fans to his latest lock-in.

Al Murray, who adopted the ‘Pub Landlord’ persona early in his career, is hitting the road to take his brand new show, Gig for Victory, to theatres up and down the country - and three of them are in Kent.

The first is at the Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone, this week.

Since beginning his career on radio alongside fellow funny man Harry Hill, Al Murray has hosted his own chat show, Al Murray's Happy Hour, presented the quiz show Fact Hunt and starred in the sitcom Time Gentlemen Please.

His tours as a stand-up comedian have seen him travel to towns and cities all over the UK, including several runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The performer is no stranger to Kent residents, as he spent time touring Thanet towns in the past on a campaign trail with his party Free United Kingdom Party (FUKP).

The outspoken comedian ran against UKIP leader Nigel Farage as a parliamentary candidate in the 2015 general election for the seat of South Thanet.

However, he has since returned to the stage to channel his political views, among many other topics, through stand-up comedy instead.

Al Murray will be at Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone on Thursday, September 8.

Book tickets online here.

Al will also be at Dartford's Orchard Theatre on Wednesday, October 26 and then Chatham's Central Theatre on Friday, November 4.
